New, second generation FunShuttles. These FunShuttles fly higher and longer. The FunShuttles can be assembled and flown by Kindergarten students, yet they are interesting enough to challenge high schoolers as well.
FunShuttles are the latest in flight technology. The Challenger is a flying wing sporting space shuttle graphics. They can fly to altitudes of over 200 feet and even higher when wound with a mechanical winder.
These tractor propeller powered wings ascend vertically like a rocket. Then, just like the real space shuttle, the Challenger gracefully glides back to the ground after having reached maximum altitude. These flyers feature drag plates for pitch and turn adjustment in the glide mode.
Virtually indestructible, the FunShuttles can be flown in any wind condition. They are a blast, easy to make, very safe, and affordable. Imagine the excitement of your students during a mass launch!
Safe, Easy and Fun! These FunShutles assemble in minutes and no special skills are necessary.
Regular scissors can be used to cut out the wing skins, and only tape is needed for assembly. The wing skins can be colored with felt tip pens or crayons. All parts are manufactured in the USA.
These second generation FunShuttles also feature the construction/fold lines printed on the back of the wing skins so it is easy for the builder to see those lines after he/she has colored his/her FunShuttle wing.
The Challenger class packs come with fully illustrated teacher instruction, which includes assembly instructions and flying tips. It is easy and fun to integrate this project with Math, Science, Geography and English. Just ask us how.
The Challenger kit consists of a special wing paper, pre-cut motor stick and wing spar, propeller assembly, hook sleeve and rubber motor.
These Challengers can also be printed with your company logo.
The DC-Challenger is the same aircraft as the FS-1 except that the special paper wing is already die-cut. No tools are necessary to build this FunShuttle.
